Clarity and color of solution— Dissolve 0.5g in 10mLof water:the solution is clear and colorless.

A:Infrared Absorption á197Kñ.
B: It meets the requirements of the tests for Sulfate á191ñ.
Melting range á741ñ: between 179and 186.
pHá791ñ: between 1.2and 3.0,in a solution (2.5in 100).
Loss on drying á731ñ Dry it at 105for 4hours:it loses not more than 4.4%of its weight.
Residue on ignition á281ñ: not more than 0.5%.
Assay— Dissolve about 500mg of Aminopentamide Sulfate,accurately weighed,in 100mLof dimethylformamide in a suitable container.Add 5drops of thymol blue TS,and titrate with 0.1Nlithium methoxide VSin benzene to a deep blue endpoint.Perform a blank determination,and make any necessary correction.Each mLof 0.1Nlithium methoxide is equivalent to 19.72mg of C19H24N2O·H2SO4.
