»Podophyllum Resin Topical Solution is a solution in Alcohol consisting of Podophyllum Resin and an alcoholic extract of Benzoin.It contains,in each 100mL,not less than 10g and not more than 13g of hexane-insoluble matter.

Packaging and storage— Preserve in tight,light-resistant containers.
Identification—
A: A1in 5solution in chloroform is levorotatory.
B: The precipitate obtained as directed in the test for Hexane-insoluble matterresponds to Identificationtest Aunder Podophyllum Resin.
Alcohol content á611ñ: between 69.0%and 72.0%of C2H5OH.
Hexane-insoluble matter— Using a 10.0-mLquantity of the Topical Solution,proceed as directed for Hexane-insoluble matterunder Podophyllum Resin.Multiply the weight of hexane-insoluble matter found by 2.5to find the amount present in the 10.0mLtaken.
