Zinc Oxide Paste
»Zinc Oxide Paste contains not less than 24.0percent and not more than 26.0percent of ZnO.
It may be prepared as follows:
Zinc Oxide 250g
Starch 250g
White Petrolatum 500g
To make 1000g
Mix the ingredients.
Packaging and storage— Preserve in well-closed containers,and avoid prolonged exposure to temperatures exceeding 30.
Identification— The residue obtained in the Assayis yellow when hot and white when cool.
Minimum fill á755ñ: meets the requirements.
Assay— Using about 600mg of Paste,proceed as directed in the Assayunder Zinc Oxide Ointment.
